Petitions (Folders 120-127), financial documents, and official and private correspondence (Folders 117-119) to the grand-duke Ferdinando de' Medici, covering the years 1621-1667, primarily concerning a large outstanding debt with the Monte di pietà€ left by Vincenzo di Carlo de' Medici to his heirs who, after a few unsuccessful attempts to pay the balance, hoped to reach a settlement. A number of documents and petitions dealing with commercial and diplomatic relationships with the Kingdom of Naples, the operations of the Medici mint, and with the poverty of the Florentine farmers are also present.
